What is Faith Guardian?
Faith Guardian is faithed's system for protecting minors (users under 18) while respecting their privacy and autonomy. It's a balanced approach that keeps young people safe without invasive monitoring.
How It Works
When a minor creates an account, they must designate a Faith Guardian (parent or trusted adult). The Guardian:
Does NOT see the minor's posts, messages, or activity
Does receive alerts about potential safety concerns
Can help the minor manage privacy settings
Can report concerning behavior they witness
Setting Up a Guardian
Minor enters Guardian's email during signup
Guardian receives invitation email
Guardian creates their own faithed account (if needed)
Guardian accepts guardianship responsibility
Connection is established

Guardians are notified about:
Direct messages from adults (over 21) they don't know
Posts containing potential risks (AI-detected)
Location sharing requests
Account privacy setting changes
Reports from other users about concerning behavior
